Heavenly

What do you do when there is only 9 skeins left of a delighfull Jamieson's "Fjord" tweed? And that the weather gets really really cold and rainy in Paris... at least for a few days. Each skein is only 25g (2 oz), and it is either too much or too few to...

Cochenille Rose

When the weather allows it, it becomes a joy to spin and dye. I used alpaga, lamb wool, CVM wool and the gorgeous cochenille for the rose dye bath. I don't know yet whether I'll use this for weaving or knitting! Dès que le temps le permet, c'est un vrai...

Finished weaving

I have cut the threads off my loom. The result is a beautiful tweed - 3m60 which is about 5 yards? J'ai fini mon tissage main, et coupé les fils qui le reliaient au métier. J'ai 3m60 de tissu... Des couvertures, un manteau? Le tissage monté la dernière...

Starting a new weaving project

My weaving is over, yet I'm starting a new one with handspun yarns. Will this trick work? I mean, to tye each new thread to an old one? And will I succeed in weaving soft handspun yarns...? J'ai terminé mon tissage, il doit y en avoir pour près de 4m,...

Weaving

I use leftovers from former projects. It takes a long to prepare and plan, but once on the loom weaving goes very fast! Pour tisser, j'utilise les restes de mes projets... Un reste de pull pour enfant, de gilet Rowan, d'écharpes au crochet. Une fois passé...

Monday in the sun

Spring is time for carding, washing fleece! Eucalan makes it so easy - with the spin cycle of my washing machine... La belle saison est de retour, temps idéal pour laver et carder une toison... Merci Eucalan!

Hmm... What am I doing now? Such tiny needles (2.5mm) and an unusual - for me - cotton. Anyway! Qu'est-ce que je fais donc, à m'être lancée vaillamment dans du 2,5mm, du coton en plus! What do you guess? A votre avis?
